Once a pesticide is banned in the United States for its dangerous health and environmental effects, companies are still permitted to manufacture it for export only. This policy sends a message to the world that American lives are more valuable, yet ironically these toxic pesticides circulate the globe and come back to the US as residues on imported food in the circle of poison.

Narrated by Elizabeth Kucinich and featuring interviews with President Jimmy Carter, Dr. Vandana Shiva, Professor Noam Chomsky, Senator Patrick Leahy, and His Holiness the Dalai Lama, the film exposes the shocking practice of corporate profit in the toxic pesticide trade. It takes viewers across the globe, to India, Mexico, Argentina, Bhutan, and the United States, to document the emotional stories of victims and the inspiring ways communities are fighting back.

A straight forward indictment of longstanding ecological injustice.”   Hollywood Reporter

“The filmmakers have managed to squeeze into the nearly 70 minutes of documentary…Enough to make the heart ache many times over. The film ably and competently drives home the message of what’s happening to our world. Its inhabitants, animals and food sources.”    New Yorkled

We just love volunteers around here!

Join us on Saturday, April 22nd for an Earth Day Fun Volunteer Opportunity. We’re going to play outside in the soil, meet new friends, get some exercise, do good things for the Earth and clean up our garden to make way for the 2017 growing season! This will be a hands-on, burn some calories, get outside, dirty hands, smell the fresh air, feel good, clean up the Earth event. If you like to wear work gloves we recommend you bring your favorite pair. The work party will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 22nd. Everyone is invited to participate!

This event is also an Earth Day Motorcycle Run! A big thank you to volunteer Susie If you want to participate in the Run the ride leaves the Kwik Trip Gas Station on Hwy 164 and I43 in Big Bend at 1:00 pm and meets at Michael Fields Agricultural Institute at 2:00 p.m.
