Funding Workshop at Southern Conference
January 12, 2017
MFAI’s Policy Program Director Margaret Krome will be presenting at the Southern Sustainable Agriculture Working Group conference Saturday afternoon, January 28 with her colleague, Sagdrina Jalal, who directs the Georgia Farmers Market Association.
Our workshop will address Federal Funding Opportunities for Farmers and Organizations. There are numerous federal funding resources available for farmers, and this session will clue farmers and organization that support them in on important funding opportunities and show them how to use the skills they already have to write successful grants and apply for other federal funding.
The workshop is designed to help individuals unfamiliar with grant writing gain the tools they need to seek out opportunities and design successful projects. Participants will receive several handouts and take-home materials, with practical information based on years of project design and grant-writing experience.
Hope to see you there. The SSAWG conference is a dynamic meeting place with workshops covering a tremendous range of topics – January 27 and 28 in Lexington, Kentucky, with two days of longer courses preceding the conference. See the SSAWG Conference program and come join us.
