GULFS Summer Programming

This Summer, our GULFS Program partnered with the Mellowhood Foundation through a joint grant through the city of Madison to pilot three new lessons with their youth to help them start their own hot pickle business. We invited a local teacher and chef in the South Madison community to teach the youth how to pickle their own produce in the Badger Rock Neighborhood Center early this month so that they can begin to develop their own recipes after this summer. We are so grateful to our community partners for collaborating with us this summer, proud of the youth and all of their hard work interviewing leaders in the food system and pickling, and excited for what the future holds for this program!
