Local Food Business Seminar Series

Wisconsin DATCP together with 19 other organizations, including Michael Fields Agricultural Institute, are announcing the Local Food Business Seminar Series. These are low cost, affordable seminars, taught by experts in the industry.The series will feature seven different topics from October 2014 to March 2015. Each topic will be presented at four locations around the state to make it easy for farmers and business owners to attend. The Madison workshops will also be available free via webinar.
The topics are: Business Planning, Legal/Business Structures, Food Safety, Marketing, Know your Buyer, Selling through a Distributor and Finding the Dollars. Locations are as follows: Retzer Nature Center, Waukesha, Portage County UW Extension, Stevens Point, Kickapoo Culinary Center, Gays Mills and DATCP, Madison.
