“The Louisiana Connection” –
In this episode of Wisconsin Foodie they travel the Mississippi to examine the effects of farming runoff on fisheries in the Bayou. Margaret Krome of the Michael Fields Institute has been rallying Wisconsin farmers to rethink farming practices to be more conscious of runoff. The goal is to bring the fisherman of Louisiana together with Wisconsin farmers over food, bringing fresh farmed foods of the north and wild caught foods of the south together for an epic feast.
