Wisconsin Cover Crops Conference – “Save the Date”

In partnership with Sheboygan County UW Extension, Washington and Ozaukee County Land Conservation Departments, and Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District, Michael Fields Agricultural Institute will be helping host the 2017 Wisconsin Cover Crops Conference, a tour examining the role of cover crops in soil and water quality. During the conference, attendees will have the unique opportunity to observer select on-farm demonstrations, including no-till cover crops after wheat, interseeding clover into corn, and low disturbance manure injection into cover crops. Attendees will also have opportunity to hear from farmers practicing cover crops and professionals like Dr. Jaime Patton with Shawano County UW-Extension, who is featured to discuss cover crops and soil health.
The conference will be located in Jackson WI, at Jackson Town Hall, 1346 Division Road Wednesday the 4th from 9:30am to 4pm. A complete agenda and all registration materials will be available at http://michaelfields.org and Sheboygan County UW-Extension https://sheboygan.uwex.edu.
