Chef Krista Roslof … artist meets chef … she blends beautiful, creative presentation, and style, with her core philosophy of working, local, seasonal, and organic. Krista sees herself as an artist first, what this means is, she works with her senses, and creates a pleasing balance of taste, visual interest, and nutritional value. She grew up in Wisconsin, studied at the Art Institute of Chicago, then moved to New York City, and entered the professional culinary world working with Chef Scott Bryan of, Veritas, restaurant NY, Chef Brian Young, Pop restaurant NY, and Chef Alan Harding of Patois bistro, Brooklyn NY, in addition, Krista was the personal chef to Annie Leibovitz for three years, she also worked with Alice Waters on several events on the east coast. In 2006 Krista moved back to Wisconsin to raise a family, in 2009 Krista created K-bar, a whole food nutrition bar. She now works locally at Square Roots Cafe in East Troy WI, she is also, continually working in her art studio.

Featuring Wisconsin Author Marnie Mamminga- Five generations of Marnie Mamminga’s family have been rejuvenated by times together in Wisconsin’s Northwoods— her inspiration for Return to Wake Robin, One Cabin in the Heyday of Northwoods Resorts – in it she “preserves the spirit and cultural heritage of a vanishing era.  In addition, she has written for the “Chicago Tribune”, “Reader’s Digest”, the “Christian Science Monitor”, “Lake Superior Magazine”, and “Chicken Soup for the Soul”.
