6th Annual Perennial Farm Gathering

Hosted by the Savanna Institute, Dec. 7-8 in Madison, WI

If you’re a landowner, farmer, researcher, educator, or tree enthusiast interested in tree crops, silvopasture, perennial agriculture, or natural resource conservation, you won’t want to miss it!

This year’s Perennial Farm Gathering will feature:
• A keynote address by Greg Judy of Green Pastures Farms, author of “No Risk Ranching” and “Comeback Farms”. He’ll be sharing his experiences with silvopasture, mob grazing, and business principles of improving the ecological health of owned and leased land (over 1200 acres) by profitably raising cattle, sheep, horses, goats, pigs, chickens, and mushrooms.
• The premiere of a documentary film about uncommon fruit and nut crops and farms. The premiere will be followed by a panel discussion with filmmakers and farmers featured in the documentary.
• Nutshell Show & Tells – This perennial highlight of the PFG is a virtual tour of agroforestry in the Midwest! All attendees are invited to give a 5 minute intro/update about farm, research, and related projects. Images and slides are welcome and can be uploaded here.
• In-depth breakout sessions: Many useful topics for aspiring farmers, seasoned producers, or wherever you are in the food chain.
