WiWiC launches the first ever “Conservation Educator Network” in Wisconsin

An inclusive network of conservation educators who work with women landowners in Wisconsin is on the horizon through WiWiC. Wisconsin Women in Conservation (WiWiC) is a state-wide collaborative initiative led by the Michael Fields Agricultural Institute in partnership with Wisconsin Farmers Union, Renewing the Countryside and the Midwest Organic and Sustainable Education Service (MOSES) and support from the Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS), to bring together women farmers and landowners with a focused target of building networks and stewarding the land. It is currently active in eighteen counties

The goal of this “Conservation Educator Network” is to regularly connect educators who work with women farmers and landowners, to share best practices and challenges, to develop cooperative strategies for effective programming, resource sharing, and how to work effectively together.

Anyone who works with Wisconsin women farmers and landowners, from agency and non-profit staff to educator volunteers, both men and women, are welcome to join the WiWiC Conservation Educator Network (free). This is intentionally a very inclusive and a wide network.

The launch of this Educator Network will be on October 28th between 10 am and 12 pm CT (on zoom). If you are a conservation educator and want to be a part of this network, please register yourself at www.wiwic.org or click the link below:
