Kernza flour

Kernza is a perennial grain developed by the Land Institute as a food staple aimed to build soil health, clean water, mitigate climate change, and revitalize rural ecosystems & communities. This Kernza grain was grown locally and organically in East Troy, WI. Contains 18% protein, and is a versatile flour in the kitchen, with flavor notes of walnut, cinnamon & brown butter. Can be used like rye flour, mixes well 50/50 with wheat flour for bread baking. For recipes, and to learn more about Kernza®, visit https://www.michaelfields.org/kernza .
