The Gardens at Michael Fields Open For Business!
May 29, 2014
The Gardens at Michael Fields are officially open for business! Summer is establishing itself quickly here in Wisconsin and The Gardens at Michael Fields are no exception. That means fresh, organic produce available for purchase — our fields to your homes. Our farm manager Christine Welcher, and her five interns have been hard at work making sure that the produce varieties you and your family love to eat will be available during the summer.
Although it is still early in the growing season we have Organic Produce for sale:
Asparagus, Lettuce, and Leafy Greens
Oregano, Cilantro, Basil, Thyme, Tarragon, Parsley, Lemon Balm, and Mint
The much loved “Cooler Sales” have started up again this year and are open 24/7 for your convenience. The Gardens has also taken advantage of the technological advances available to pair interested, conscientious consumers with local growers and signed up for a Farm Match account. This gives you the option to pay with debit/credit card in advance and pick up your delectable vegetables, herbs, and eggs at your convenience. On top of all that, the East Troy Farmers Market has started up again and occurs every Friday from 3-7 PM in front of the Michael Fields Agricultural Institute.
