Kettle Moraine Land Trust

Land Trusts recognize that natural areas and working lands go hand in hand.  The Kettle Moraine Land Trust is making great strides to protect important lands in Walworth County that result in benefits to both human and ecological communities.  Working in concert with the community, land trusts are non-profit, non-governmental conservation organizations run by local people who have a shared passion for preserving their community’s natural heritage.  According to Program Manager, Maggie Zoellner, “Sharing ideas and resources is an efficient and cost effective way to plan for and protect lands that offer great community benefits.”  The Kettle Moraine Land Trust is seeking the opinions from landowners and residents about land conservation and environmental challenges.  Fill out the Advancing Conservation Survey and help shape the Trust’s land preservation focus in southern Wisconsin.  More information about the Kettle Moraine Land Trust and their efforts to preserve lands is available on their website:  www.kmlandtrust.org .
