Megan Helt-Baldwin (Stella Gardens intern 2012)

Megan Helt-Baldwin is a graduate of UW- Milwaukee with a degree in Conservation and Environmental Science and a minor in Biology. She served two terms in AmeriCorps and has been employed at Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity and the Urban Ecology Center.

She lives in Milwaukee with her husband, Adam. There, they are fixing up their old cottage in the Riverwest neighborhood. They have a dog named Henry, who is really cute and really good.

Megan is interning a Michael Fields to gain a greater understanding of our food system and to see if small market gardening for profit or gardening to reduce purchasing food is a possibility in the future.

She like camping, gardening, reading, and swimming. Anything to be out of doors! Past permutations of Megan have included: “Sci-fi Nerd” and “graphic Design Dork.” She would now consider herself, “Homesteader Wannabe.”
