Midwest Farmers of Color Soil Health Network

A coalition of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC)-led organizations supporting BIPOC beginning  farmers in adopting soil health practices to effectively start their farming journeys.

The Midwest Farmers of Color Soil Health Network (MFCSHN) is a five-year project funded by SHARE to support BIPOC-led organizations in helping beginning BIPOC farmers use soil health practices to successfully start farming. Coordinated by Michael Fields Agricultural Institute, this network consists of six groups throughout the upper Midwest: Groundswell Conservancy (Madison, WI), Neighborhood Food Solutions (Madison, WI), Wisconsin Tribal Conservation Advisory Council (WI - statewide), Latino Economic Development Center (MN & North Western WI), The Motherland Community Project (Springfield, IL), and Advocates for Urban Agriculture (Chicago, IL).
