Petra Zinniker

Zinnikers Family Farm

Petra grew up in Germany and came to the United States in 1991 for a one-year apprenticeship. During that time she met her husband Mark. After finishing her education in Hannover, Germany, earning a degree in horticulture with an emphasis in vegetable growing and soil science, she moved to the United States permanently in 1994. Since then she and her husband have over the years taken on the management of the 165 acre farm, raising dairy, laying hens, broilers, turkeys, pigs and some vegetables as well as feed crops (hay, corn, oats, wheat, peas) for the animals raised on the farm.
